Annie - is by far one of our most active and powerful entities within the Archive. I, Steve Hummel, acquired her picture, now known conduit, from an antique shop in Wheeling, WV. I had many of times visited this shop a.k.a Antiques on the Market in pursuit of antiques ranging from WW2 items to and random piece of history I could find. Now when I had seen the picture of Annie I had not yet opened or even thought of establishing the Archive, but countless times felt her energy. You see I would often find myself lost staring and studying her picture, from her piercing eyes to her solemn gaze she definetly held my attention. Once I opened the Archive I instantly new I wanted her picture, I wanted her to get the attention that I felt she missed from long ago. Plus, I wanted to see if folks picked up on what I did or maybe even other emotions or vibes. So upon deciding that I wanted to add her picture I went up to the shop and sought the area she was, but upon arrival I was floored to see that the entire vendor's selection was gone, nothing. I was at a great loss of words for I really felt connected to her, to Annie.
After a few months passed by, after I had continued visiting the aforementioned shop in pursuit of war items and museum related items. This one particular visit while roaming throughout the store I noticed that the vendor area where Annie's picture once was still seemed to be vacant, but after rounding the corner I noticed that oddly enough it wasn't completely void, there against the wall stood in solitary Annie's picture. I purchased it that very day.
Over the years Annie has made direct contact with me, museum volunteers and our guests. We have a class A EVP of her stating her name and Annie even activating a REM POD with her energy. To witness this evidence for yourself please visit the "Finding Annie" link below for some amazing evidence of Annie's presence.

Lydia - was found purchased at a local antique shop. Through numerous visits to the shop I finally decided that she definitely had the supernatural properties that would easily find her a spot within the Archive.
"On one occasion a lady made the remark that once looking at her she grew very nauseous and immediately walked out side to wait for her friend to finish visiting the museum."

"Old Sparky" Execution Cap - was acquired by means of an online auction. The story of it's finding goes as such. The lady whom found it had purchased the contents of a storage unit somewhere in rural West Virginia. Allegedly the storage locker's contents came from an estate sale in Moundsville, WV. From the reported story of how she came by it would indicate the extreme possibility that this execution cap is indeed the long lost cap to "Old Sparky" the electric chair that was used within the walls of the former West Virginia State Penitentiary here in Moundsville. If this cap were indeed the cap to the electric chair here in the former West Virginia State Penitentiary that would mean that it channeled the electricity to nine (9) inmates whom were condemned to death!
(Below is a YouTube link to the Society of the Supernatural's LIVE STREAM video of paranormal evidence that establishes the validity of the "Execution CAP" being indeed haunted. Also, you will be witness to how an executed inmate followed Dave to another renowned haunted location, the Bellaire House.
We at the Archive hope you enjoy this amazing paranormal evidence.)

Ashen - this little porcelain doll was a donation by an unknown source. One day she showed up in an old cardboard box with a few other dolls while I, Steve Hummel (owner, curator), was working tours at the former West Virginia State Penitentiary. Ashen has a way with speaking to select visitors. It's hard to say why she speaks to only certain people. But, it is obvious when she does. Visitors have reported odd or uncomfortable vibes coming from her while others feel nothing or even comforting vibes. It's safe to say that she is kinda picky.
1930's Embalming Table - this table was acquired through a local collector from New Martinsville, WV. This fine testament to quality craftsmanship is looked on a rescue if you will. Between it's previous life while serving clients at former Iams Funeral Home in New Martinsville, WV and being one of our premier artifacts here at the Archive it was used as Halloween prob as a yard decoration. Here at the Archive it is safe from the elements and is a conduit to a mere fraction of
New Martinsville's history. There is also an embalming pump that was used at the very same location and safe to say used in correlation to the table. |

Izzy - is a unique little doll with some pretty potent energy attached to her. She seems to emit a very uneasy energy and at times tends to creep out our younger crowd the most.
She was acquired at a antique shop in Wheeling, WV.

Cori - was found at a very old antique shop in Marietta, OH. While roaming through the little booths and aisles of the shop I felt a definite pull to this little room, maybe an office area at one time as this huge building seemed to be a warehouse at one time. I no more than walked through the door when I immediately felt as if someone were standing directly behind my right shoulder. I had spun arouund to see what had startled me and my eyes were instantly placed on "cori". I knew for certain that this was onced a cherished item by a person from the past. Knowing this I immediately removed her from her isolated area on the wall and purchased later on as I finished my trek through the antiques.
Historic Sod Collection - this collection of sod came from a small "bundle" purchase I made from Peter Paul Seva, a very seasoned collector of oddly wonderful artifacts. This collection came from the front yard of world renown serial killer John Wayne Gacy. It's hard to say from where exactly were in the front yard it came from, but I give great credit to Seva's collecting reports.
Lola - this flirtatious little find find came from a local antique shop just north of Moundsville in Wheeling, WV. My (Steve Hummel), initial visit found me taken by the energy from this artifact, but I for some unknown reason i didn't purchase it that day. However, after about a day and a half of this figurine being imprinted on my mind I had to have it. Luckily when I went up to retrieve the artifact is was still there, right where I left it. Ironically enough I was told while checking out that it was brought to the counter by another patron on a previous day, but at the last minute they decided not to buy it. Fate perhaps?

Yelena - this little gem was unavoidably noticed and collected in Berlin, OH within an enormous antique mall located within the center of town. As I (Steve Hummel), roamed throughout the establishment I came up to a vendor who offered mainly dolls. I normally don't collect such items, but on a rare occasion feel pulled towards random tangents of interests. I quickly came face to face with this relic. I instantly felt an energy speaking to me and almost right away I knew what was being conveyed. The attachment, the entity if you will knew I noticed it and hoped that I would take care of the item. I have always felt that whomever is attached to this piece did in fact cherish it in a passed life. Now, Yelena, as she has been come know by resides safe and sound within the Archive.
Haunted Child's Book - This book was donated by fellow investigator and good friend Shane Burgy. He acquired it from a local case here in the Ohio Valley in which the client reported child voices and the sense of being watched and followed. After a few preliminary investigations at the clients home it was discovered that the paranormal activity hadn't started until the book was brought into the home. It was then discovered through the clients accounts and some research by Shane that the book was purchased from a yard sale that contained belongings from the house of a quadruple homicide that involved a two year old girl. Also, after having a local fireman analyze the dark stain on the bottom right hand cover it was confirmed that it was indeed a bloodstain.

The Betsy Bell Doll - This little vexed doll was donated by a fellow investigator and friend Curtis Lee. Curtis expressed he felt the doll needed to be placed in the keep of the Archive and didn't elaborate on much other than he expressed through research he conducted that the spirit within the doll is ugly and very well may be demonic. He provided salt for protection and in addition it has been blessed.

Infant's Casket - This little vessel was found in the small river town of New Martinsville, WV from a local collector. It allegedly came from the former Iam's Funeral Home which served it's community for many years. Many a visitor has reported the feeling of sadness and great depression while observing and being near this rather small relic. It would make sense for the aura to be so strong due to this being a viewing model. This would make it very possible that this piece was used for numerous services for many little ones who at one time rested on it's bedding.

The Mutilated Effigy Doll - This little bundle of joy is from a case in McMechen, WV. The Archive was contacted by Gina and Chris who are tenants from where this doll was removed.
Gina and Chris had reported strange occurrences such as cabinets opening and closing, objects being thrown, strong oppression and the overall feeling of being watched. In an attempt to rid or reduce the activity this doll was removed. According to the tenants some activity has reduced. Further investigating is being done at this undisclosed location.

The Marilyn Doll - This intense little conduit was found by accident on the second floor of an antique store in Wheeling, WV. I, Steve Hummel, was shopping for crucifixes and as I reached for one that was hanging on the wall I was blindsided by her presence before my eyes laid eyes on her. I didn't buy her that day, but after a couple days of dwelling on her energy I returned to the store and luckily she was still there. Right where I left her. The name Marilyn was given to here by the Archive Team and I. We unanimously agreed that Marilyn was the name that was ringing out.

The Jenny Doll - This little one was donated by a friend of mine and of the Archive, Teri Long. Teri had posted a few dolls that were donated to her at the Licking County Jail for "Creepy Doll" projects. The instant that I had seen her post of said dolls I immediately connected with this one in particular. At the time I couldn't think of why, but Teri was nice enough to donate the doll, Jenny. It wasn't until after two of my best friends and co - producers of Paranormal Quest were nice enough to bring her to the Archive after shooting an interview with Teri that I discovered just how charged the doll was. It was so blatant, so obvious, when I had first held it in my hands.

Western Congo Funeral Mask- This amazing relics was provided by a good friends and amazing supporters of the Archive Antonio Gumm and John Coghill. Antonio is a demonologist from the Cincinnati area thru him the Archive has been fortunately introduced to Demonologist and Exorcist Jason Love from the UK. The story on this piece is that it was used in a funeral ceremony, however it was wasn't properly destroyed to release the soul of the deceased. The mask was stolen and eventually found it's way to the UK where it was removed from a residence by Love to rid the family of unwanted poltergeist activity.

The 666 Bible - This sacred testament was brought to me in confidence from an individual who's name is on file with the Archive, but anonymous to the public. It was found in an abandoned building known as the Morris Memorial School for Crippled Children in Cabell County West Virginia in what was only described as an empty room. The testament was found opened to pages 666 & 667 with the page 667 having scorching at the top of the page. The only other item found with the Bible was a small angel figurine, which was taken by his companion, setting on the open pages. After returning to his home in Glen Dale, WV the individual removed the testament from his urbexing bag and placed it upon the mantle. As he reported, "that's when things went wrong."
He reported that the family cat died, the family dog and his mother became very ill and he would hear his name whispered throughout the house. The events mentioned all happened within three days after he removed the Bible from his bag and after he had seen three full shadow people standing within his backyard one evening. We at the Archive do find it interesting and odd that the number three is frequently implemented throughout the collected statements of this individual.

The Chanting Idol - This piece was removed from a private residence in Columbus, OH by Big Country Paranormal member, empath & paranormal investigator Carrie Forgacs. The item was said to have been causing unrest within the family. The item was reported to generate unidentifiable music, humming and an overall negative energy. The family felt unsafe and disturbed with the presence of the item thus it was removed from the household. It's been since donated by Carrie to the Archive.
